Children Ministry

The goal of Faith’s Children Ministry is to share Christ with the children of our community, help them advance in spiritual maturity, discover their spiritual gifts, and learn what it means to surrender their lives to God. We believe this is a key to leaving a worthwhile legacy, as well as enhancing the kingdom of God.

To accomplish our goals, we establish a fun, educational and entertaining environment.   Everyone who participates is blessed. Children Ministry is one of the most rewarding choices you can make---because as you give whatever time you can, you will be making a Godly difference in the life of a child.

Could Children Ministry be where you are called to serve? We are praying with you to find His answer. If you have questions about us, please contact Jenn Klosterman 630-862-3500 or jenn@discoveringfaith.com.

First Look and KidWerks

Description

Children Ministry at Faith Lutheran Church is designed for children from preschool to grade 5. It is a place of wonder and discovery as children learn Bible truths. Our goal is to create an environment that is both educational and engaging. We want to capture a child’s imagination, intrigue them and then set them on a course of discovery. Whether you would enjoy telling Bible stories, playing video games with Elementary age children, singing, or even assisting with supplies, there is a place for you in Children Ministry. We want you to find where you can use your God-given gifts to invest in the lives of children.

Purpose

First Look was uniquely designed to give our pre-school aged children a wonderful first impression of God.  Each and every lesson reinforces the 3 basic truths:  God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

KidWerks takes those 3 truths to the next level.  At KidWerks we want to engage kids in applying the bible stories to their daily lives.  We build community in our small groups and fulfill the essential need of belonging to a community of Faith on a personal level.  Our elementary kids have a special place in our church where they are excited to come, have fun, and be mentored on their journey of faith.

Skills

Skills vary depending on volunteer positions. A person who works with children in a classroom will need a heart for God and a desire to work with children. A person who desires to serve children by volunteering in a role that supports programs for children needs a servant’s heart. We will help you match your skills to a volunteer position on our team.
