On Saturday, September 17th, nearly 150 members of Faith Lutheran Church gathered to Walk for Water in an effort to raise awareness and make an impact in the global water crisis. The group also put itself into the shoes of those who experience walking for water daily. Walkers raised $25,000 to place a water purification system in a village in Haiti. The system will provide clean, safe water for 3,000-5,000 people per day.

The walk stepped off at 9:00 am after walkers enjoyed pre-walk festivities at our food tent & tattoo station while listening to musical group Cloud 9. Walkers got their pictures taken with “Liquid Hope”! After the walk, participants stayed and listen to The Prairie Surfers band and successfully dunked Pastor Rob in the dunk tank multiple times. Several lucky walkers even won raffle prizes.

Thanks to all who came out for such an amazing event. The Walk for Water is part of The Basics program at Faith, in which church members work to provide food, water, and shelter to those in need.
